Assessment Therapist-Montgomery (0329-R)

Aletheia House is looking for an individual to provide behavioral health services to adult men
and women who have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder, including an opiod use
disorder. Area served is Montgomery County, Alabama.

Position Summary:
The assessment therapist is responsible for providing psycho-social assessments in the
outpatient clinic to adult men and women who are seeking treatment for substance use
disorders, including men and women who are in jail in the Montgomery County area. The
assessment therapist works closely with the treatment coordinator to accomplish the mission
and service goals of Aletheia House.

Location of Position: 1153 Air Base Blvd., Montgomery, Alabama

Primary Responsibilities:
-Conduct psycho-social assessments to individuals seeking treatment for substance abuse
disorder in the Montgomery County area, with an emphasis on potential program participants
with an opioid use disorder.
-To make appropriate referrals based on assessment information.
-Complete all assessment paperwork and submit for billing and review.
-Provide assessment counseling to potential program participants.
-Document all services in a timely complete and clinically appropriate manner.
-Submit all assessment paperwork for billing as required.
-Serve as liaison between clients and other service providers, as applicable.
-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment coordinator, Chief Operating Officer and/or
Executive Director.

Qualifications:
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, psychology, social work
or other behavioral health area with a clinical practicum – required.
-Must be eligible to be certified as a Medicaid provider
-Must be eligible to be certified for DMH service provision at the QSAP 1 level.
-Current certification and/or licensure preferred.

Travel Requirements:
-Daily travel is required.
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation.
-Must have a current Driver’s License and good driving record.
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included.

Job Salary:
$38,500.00 – $42,000.00

Hours:
Full-Time, Exempt, Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Total – 40 Hours
