Aletheia House is looking for an individual to provide behavioral health services to youth and college students. Areas served are Jefferson and Dallas Counties.
Location of Position: Birmingham, AL
Position Summary:
The community wellness coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of prevention programs with youth and college students. The community wellness coordinator works closely with the chief operating officer to accomplish the goals and mission of the Aletheia House.
Duties Include:
-Oversee the Community Wellness Program
-Complete reports as required by Aletheia House and Department of Mental Health
-Oversee substance abuse prevention activities in the counties of Jefferson and Dallas counties
-Participate in the quality assurance process that periodically monitors prevention charts to ensure that documentation is compliant with DMH and other regulatory agency requirements
-Serve as agency liaison between Aletheia House and other prevention providers, and community stakeholders
-Attend and participate in community based efforts and provide appropriate resolution for routine consumer issues and concerns
-Facilitate meetings of the community wellness team and report outcomes and data to the chief operating officer
-Perform initial review of timesheets, time cards, purchase orders, and initial mileage requests from team members
-Perform other duties as assigned by the, chief operating officer, clinical director, and/or executive director
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Knowledge and experience related to prevention of substance use disorders
-Ability to lead a team with diverse members located in varying counties
Qualifications:
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in human services
-At least two (2 years) experience in treatment or prevention
-Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
-Motor Vehicle Report required
Travel:
-Travel required daily, weekly or monthly
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included
Job Salary:
$52,540 – $78,000
Hours:
Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (May include evenings and weekends)
