COMMUNITY WELLNESS SPECIALIST – Montgomery, AL

Aletheia House is looking for community wellness specialists to provide substance abuse prevention services to veterans in Montgomery.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Implement substance abuse prevention interventions for veterans in Montgomery

-Document all services in a timely complete and clinically appropriate manner
-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed
-Perform other duties as assigned by the community wellness coordinator, chief operating officer, and/or executive director.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Excellent writing, communication, organizational and time management skills with knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation
-Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
-Exceptional interpersonal skills to relate with program participants and resource providers.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
-Ability to maintain harmonious effective working relationships with other employees

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Social Services required

-Prior experience in substance abuse treatment/prevention a plus

-Military experience is a plus

 

Job Salary:

$36,000.00 – $45,000.00

 

Hours:  40

F/T, Exempt, Flexible – Hours may vary according to program – (may require some evenings and weekends)
