Aletheia House is looking for an individual to provide maintenance and cleaning services at the Bessemer Neighborhood Health Center. The area served is Jefferson County.
Position Summary:
The maintenance technician-custodian is responsible for maintaining the Bessemer Neighborhood Health Center by performing basic maintenance such as painting, installing flooring, and making minor repairs. The maintenance technician-custodian will also provide daily custodial services for the health center including cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, vacuuming, cleaning exam rooms, etc. The maintenance technician-custodian works closely with the health services coordinator and chief operating officer to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.
Location: Bessemer, AL 35020
Primary Responsibilities:
-Perform basic maintenance
-Painting
-Install flooring
-Minor repairs
-Clean facility as needed
-Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying and taking out trash, picking up trash around exterior of building, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
-Sweep, mop, and wax floors, hallways, and restrooms; vacuum carpets
-Clean kitchen and restroom areas by washing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, surfaces, railings, handles, showers, etc.
-Responsible for restocking disposables (e.g. soap, tissue, paper towels, etc.)
-Wipe and clean mirrors and windows
-Qualifications:
-Maintenance – 2 years preferred
-Experience with janitorial services preferred
Job Salary:
$16.00 – $20.00/Hourly – Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Hours:
Monday-Friday, day shift preferred (15-20 hours per week)
Ability to commute/relocate: reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work preferred
