Position Summary:                         

The Human Resources Specialists works closely with the Director of Human Resources to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement the organization’s recruiting strategy
  • Review, screen, and distributes resumes to managers accordingly for various positions
  • Process various human resources reports related to training, CPR, TB, Driver’s License, and auto insurance
  • Assist managers with screening and forwarding resumes from external sites
  • Process phone interviews for maintenance and cook positions
  • Onboard new employees at the direction of director of human resources
  • Maintain various human resources binders
  • Assist employees with setting up emails and resetting email passwords
  • Process and post new positions internally and externally
  • Maintain filing for human resources including active and inactive documentation
  • Breakdown inactive employee files
  • Process background checks, E-verify, and Department of Labor for all new hires
  • Enter payroll records into accounting system
  • Process the Open Positions Report
  • Enter employee trainings on spreadsheet and file certificates accordingly
  • Maintain intern records
  • Perform other human resources related duties as needed by the direction of director of human resources and associate director of administration.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Excellent writing, communication, organizational and time management skills with knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), particularly strong in Excel
Exceptional interpersonal skills to relate with program managers and staff
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Ability to maintain harmonious effective working relationships with other employees
Ability to keep sensitive information obtained confidential

 

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

-Minimum two years of experience in the area of human resources

-Advance computer skills in MS Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

-High attention to detail and accuracy

-Ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

-Non-profit and/or health and human service industry experience is a plus

 

Job Salary:

$40,000 – $50,000

 

Hours: 

F/T, Exempt –40hrs a week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am –4:30 pm
