The Aletheia House is looking for a caring, energetic, qualified LPN MAS Nurse to work in our
Birmingham facilities on a full-time basis.
Office Location: Women’s Hope, Birmingham, AL
Position Summary:
The LPN is responsible for training and certification of MAC workers. The LPN will also
maintain the Medication Administration Records and oversee the work of the unlicensed
workers.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Responsible for fulfilling all requirements for compliance with Nurse Delegation Program
-Meet with clients to review new medications
-Complete the Medication Administration Record (MAR) for each new client
-Complete medical assessments
– Update the MAR as needed
-Monitor medication errors
-Train staff for MAC certification
-Be on-call to respond to inquiries from MAC workers every three weeks
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Knowledge of prescription medications
-Ability to communicate well with clients
Qualifications:
-Nursing degree from an accredited Nursing program
-Current, valid and unrestricted LPN license by the State of Alabama, required
-Minimum 1 year of experience as an LPN, preferred
-Must be eligible to obtain MAS certification
-Valid CPR certification and current TB screening required
Travel:
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation.
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included.
-Motor vehicle report required
Job Salary:
$19.71 – $21.50 per hour plus $100.00 per week (when on call)
$600.00 sign-on retention bonus
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm or 8:00 am – 4:00 pm; hours may vary according to
clients’ needs and may require some late evenings and weekends.
Total Hours: 40
