Aletheia House is looking for an individual to provide behavioral health services to adult men and women who have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder, including an opiod use disorder. Area served is Colbert County.
Location of Position: 528 Kelsey Avenue, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661
Position Summary:
The peer support specialist will provide recovery support to individuals enrolled in outpatient treatment at the Aletheia House Muscle Shoals outpatient clinic. The peer support specialist works closely with the treatment services coordinator to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide recovery support to individuals enrolled in treatment for opioid or stimulant use disorders by linking them to appropriate recovery services, including self-help groups.
-To administer GPRA intakes and follow-ups to enrolled individuals.
-Document all services and submit in a timely and accurate manner
-Perform other duties as assigned by the program manager
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED required.
-At least two years of documented recovery
-Must be able to obtain certification as a peer support specialist.
-Will be required to obtain certification within 120 days if not currently certified.
Job Salary: $36,000.00 – $45,000.00
Hours: Full-time, Exempt – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. 40 hours per week

Travel Requirements:
-Travel is required at least two times a week
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation
