Aletheia House is looking for an individual to provide peer recovery support services to individuals who have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder, including an opioid use disorder. Area served is Montgomery, AL.
Location of Position: 1153 Air Base Blvd., Montgomery, AL 36108
Position Summary:
The peer support specialist will provide recovery support to individuals enrolled in the outpatient and drug court outpatient program. The peer supports specialist supports individuals by sharing their own lived experience in order to foster hope, build resiliency, and develop self-advocacy skills that will empower them to reach their goals.” The peer support specialist works closely with the treatment coordinator.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide recovery support to individuals enrolled in outpatient and drug court outpatient treatment for opioid or stimulant use disorders by linking them to appropriate recovery services, including self-help groups.
-To administer GPRA intakes and follow-ups to enrolled individuals.
-Document all services and submit in a timely and accurate manner
-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment coordinator
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED required
-At least two years of documented recovery
-Must be able to obtain certification as a peer support specialist. Will be required to obtain certification within 120 days if not currently certified.
Job Salary:
$36,000.00 – $45,000.00 annually
Hours:
Full-time, Exempt – Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – 40 hours per week

Travel Requirements:
-Travel occasionally
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation
