The Aletheia House is looking for a caring, energetic, qualified LPN MAS Nurse to work in our Birmingham-Patton and St. Anne’s facilities on a part-time PRN basis. Area serviced is Jefferson County.
Office Location: Patton, 4246 5thAvenue South, Birmingham, AL
The PRN LPN will review medications with clients to ensure they understand the name and purpose of each medication, and how often they should take it. The PRN LPN will also maintain the Medication Administration Records. The PRN LPN works closely with the Treatment Coordinator to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.
-Provide monthly training for new Residential Support Specialist staff one Saturday per month.
-Oversee the LPN MAS Nurse
-Perform observations for new MAC workers.
-Perform quarterly observations of all MAC workers.
-On-call every three weeks.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Treatment Coordinator, Physician, Director of Behavioral Health, Health Center Director, Chief Operating Officer and/or Executive Director.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Knowledge of prescription medications.
-Ability to communicate well with clients.
-Nursing degree from an accredited Nursing program
-Current, valid and unrestricted LPN license by the State of Alabama, required.
-Minimum 1 year of experience as an LPN, preferred.
-Must be eligible to obtain MAS certification.
-Valid CPR certification and current TB skin test required
-Travel is required between facilities.
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation.
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included.
$20.00 per hour – $100.00 per week (when on call)
Hours: PRN P/T, Non-Exempt
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Thursday – Friday
Total: 20 – 29 hours.
