Aletheia House is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to support its Mobile, Alabama expansion. The Project Manager will play an integral role in developing affordable housing in the City of Mobile and seeking additional opportunities to meet the needs of vulnerable individuals in the area.
Location of Position: Mobile, AL
Position Summary:
Aletheia House, a community-based nonprofit organization, is seeking to expand services in Mobile. We are looking for a self-directed, outgoing individual who can help establish and manage nonprofit services in the area. The initial services will include acquiring and renovating rental houses, managing rental properties, and operating a community housing resource center. Over time, this individual will help us add additional mission-based services, including substance use disorder treatment services, HIV services, and services for veterans. This successful candidate will also work remotely to assist the Associate Director of Administration in completing other strategic operations tasks.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
-Knowledge of community housing, health, and social service programs and resources
-Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
-Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
-Ability to serve on task forces and/or committees
-Ability to design and implement systems necessary to collect, maintain and analyze data
-Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
-Excellent analytical, presentation, communication, and reporting skills
Qualifications:
-A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required (public administration, business, human services, communications, or related field). Master’s Degree highly desirable.
-Minimum of two years of related professional experience and/or relevant project management experience
-Demonstrated creativity, ability to apply innovative thinking and problem-solving skills
-Excellent verbal and written English skills with an ability to interface effectively with diverse groups of people
-Ability to see the big picture and connect the dots, as well as get into the weeds on implementation
-Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and meet deadlines
-Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Suite and Adobe
-Must have a current Driver’s License
Travel Requirements
-This position requires periodic travel throughout the Mobile region and state to meet with business advisors and partners.
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation.
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included.
Job Salary:
$50,540 – $62,000
Hours:
F/T, Exempt – 40 Hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm – Hours may vary and include occasional evenings and/or weekends.
