The therapist is responsible for providing individual, group, and family wellness counseling for
program participants who are in Drug Court. The therapist works closely with the rural
substance abuse treatment coordinator-west. The area served is Dallas County and surrounding areas.

-Provide individual, group, and family wellness counseling to program participants who are in
-Document all services in a timely complete and clinically appropriate manner
-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed
-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment coordinator-west
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health, counseling,
psychology, or social work with a clinical practicum required
-At least two years experience providing substance abuse treatment and/or prevention services
-Ability to be eligible to perform Medicaid approved activities and be certified as a QSAP I
-Licensure and/certification as required by the Alabama Department of Mental Health
(AADC/ADC, LPC, LICSW, LMFT, LMSW) preferred, or the ability to achieve
licensure/certification after 30 months
-Must have valid and current Driver’s License
-Motor Vehicle Report required
$43,000 – $53,750 ($3,000 retention bonus for employees who work for six months or longer)
Hours: F/T, Exempt, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
