Aletheia House is looking for an individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of
individuals recovering from substance abuse. The area served is Madison County.

Location of position: Women’s Hope North, Huntsville, Alabama
Office Location: 228 Sparkman Drive NW, Huntsville, AL 35805

Position Summary:
The therapist is responsible for providing individualized, group comprehensive counseling and
treatment services for adult women with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring substance
use and mental health disorders. The therapist works closely with the treatment coordinator to
accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:
-To provide individual, group and family counseling to adult women who have a substance use
disorder
-Conduct psycho-social assessments as needed; also conduct psycho-educational classes with
clients and their families according to the approved curriculum
-Crisis and family intervention and involvement
-To seek and provide resources
-To serve as a liaison between the client and other service providers as needed
-Linkage and referral; document all services in a timely complete and clinically appropriate
manner.
-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment coordinator

Qualifications:
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Behavioral Health, Counseling, or
Social Work with a clinical practicum required
-At least two years experience providing substance abuse treatment and/or prevention services
preferred
-Ability to be eligible to perform Medicaid approved activities and be certified at a QSAP I level
-Licensure and/certification as required by the Alabama Department of Mental Health
(AADC/ADC, LPC, LICSW, LMFT, LMSW) preferred, or the ability to achieve
licensure/certification within 30 months

Travel:
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation
-Occasional travel required to attend quarterly meetings and trainings.
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included.
-Driver’s License required
-Motor Vehicle Report required

Job Salary:
$40,000.00 – $42,000.00Hours:
F/T, Exempt – Monday-Thursday, 12:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
