Aletheia House is looking for an individual to provide behavioral health services to adult men
and women who have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder, including an opioid use
disorder.

Office Location: Huntsville, Alabama

Position Summary:
The IOP therapist is responsible for providing individualized, group comprehensive counseling
and treatment services for individuals with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring
substance use and mental health disorders. The IOP therapist works closely with the treatment
coordinator north to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:
-To provide individual, group and family counseling to adult men and women who have a
substance use disorder at the Huntsville IOP facility
-Conduct psycho-social assessments as needed; also conduct psycho-educational classes with
clients and their families according to the approved curriculum
-Crisis and family intervention and involvement
-To seek and provide resources
-To serve as a liaison between the client and other service providers as needed
-Linkage and referral; document all services in a timely complete and clinically appropriate
manner
-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment services coordinator-north, director of
behavioral health, clinical director, chief operating officer and/or executive director.

Qualifications:
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health with a clinical
practicum required
-At least two years experience providing substance abuse treatment and/or prevention services
preferred
-Ability to be eligible to perform Medicaid approved activities and be certified as a QSAP I
-Licensure and/certification as required by the Alabama Department of Mental Health
(AADC/ADC, LPC, LICSW, LMFT, LMSW) preferred, or the ability to achieve
licensure/certification after 30 months.
Travel:
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation
-Light travel required to attend quarterly meetings and trainings
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included

Job Salary:
$38,500 – $42,000 annual salary DOE

Hours:
F/T, Exempt – 40 hours per week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
