Aletheia House is looking for a temporary part-time Veterans transporter in Birmingham, Alabama. Areas serviced are Jefferson and Shelby counties.

Position Summary:
The temporary Veterans transporter is responsible for providing safe transportation for Aletheia House Veteran clients. The temporary Veterans transporter will transport Veteran clients to class, appointments and other employment events. The temporary Veteran transporter works closely with the Veterans Service Manager, Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and/or Executive Director to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide safe transportation to class, interviews, and other employment events for JFV participants.
-Fill in as needed
-Assist with the maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of agency vehicles.
-Maintain travel log, maintenance needs and other documents that will be submitted daily/weekly
-Submit reports to Veterans Service Manager or Clinical Director in a timely manner.
-Perform other duties as assigned by Veterans Service Manager, Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and/or Executive Director.
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma/GED
-Valid Alabama driver’s license and good driving record required.
-Proof of current auto insurance required.
-Must be able to be insured.
-Previous driving experience preferred and ability to operate a 15 passenger van.
-Must be eligible for MAC certification.
Travel:
-This position requires daily travel in order to transport Veteran clients in Jefferson and Shelby counties and surrounding areas.
-Attend meetings and trainings located in Birmingham, AL.
-Travel (daily) as needed using agency van or personal vehicle.
-Mileage reimbursement is offered for use of personal vehicle.
Job Salary:
$11.50-$13.50 per hour

P/T, Temporary (Seasonal)
Non-Exempt – Monday – Thursday – 11:00AM – 5:00PM
Date Position Ends: October 16, 2019
20-25 hours per week
