Community Wellness Coordinator – 7 Counties

Aletheia House is looking for a Community Wellness Coordinator in Alabama that will oversee Substance Abuse Prevention Program and activities for Pike, Macon, Bullock, Randolph, Clay, Coosa, and Talladega Counties.
Location of Services: Pike, Macon, Bullock, Randolph, Clay, Coosa, and Talladega Counties.
Position Summary:
The community wellness coordinator will provide oversight for DMH funded Substance Abuse Prevention Program and daily operational activities for 7 counties. The community wellness coordinator works closely with the chief operating officer to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Supervise community wellness staff.
-Complete reports as required by Aletheia House and Department of Mental Health.
-Oversee substance abuse prevention activities in the counties of Pike, Macon, Bullock, Randolph, Clay, Coosa, and Talladega counties.
-Participate in the quality assurance process that periodically monitors prevention charts to ensure that documentation is compliant with DMH and other regulatory agency requirements.
-Serve as agency liaison between Aletheia House and other prevention providers, and community stakeholders.
-Attend and participate in community based efforts and provide appropriate resolution for routine consumer issues and concerns.
-Facilitate meetings of the prevention team and report outcomes and data to the chief operating officer and associate director-operations
-Perform initial review of timesheets, timecards, purchase orders, and initial mileage requests from team members.
-Provide on-call consultation for after hour emergencies, as needed.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the chief operating officer, associate director-operations, and/or executive director.
Qualifications:
-Master’s degree in a social service field, required.
-Experience working with youth and young adults a plus.
-Minimum of five years experience in prevention with at least three years experience in substance abuse prevention, required.
-Certification as a prevention specialist, preferred.
-Must be willing to travel extensively for said periods of time.
-Motor Vehicle Report required.
-Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required.
Travel Requirements:
-This position requires local and statewide travel in order to develop community partnerships and to attend meetings.
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation or as needed, drive an agency vehicle.
-Requires the ability to drive for said periods of time and miles per day (at least 3 times per week).
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included.
Job Salary:
$50,540 – $62,000
Hours:
F/T, Exempt – 40 Hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm – Hours may vary and include occasional evenings, nights, and weekends.
