Peer Recovery Support Specialist-Women’s Hope -Birmingham, AL (#0407)

We are looking for individuals in recovery who want to make a difference in the lives of women who are in treatment for substance use disorders. This is a part-time position in Birmingham.

Location of Positions: Women’s Hope Residential (St. Anne’s).

 

Office Location:  Birmingham, AL

 

Position Summary:

The peer recovery support specialist provides peer counseling and recovery coaching to women in the Women’s Hope residential program.  She or he works closely with the treatment coordinator to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

-Provide individual and group peer counseling to women enrolled in residential treatment

-Help connect women to peer recovery support services including Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and ROSS

-Help arrange recovery support meetings and activities inside and outside the facility

-Document services in a timely and professional manner

-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment coordinator

 

Qualifications:

-At least three years of substance use recovery

-Certification as a peer recovery support specialist is a plus. Will be required to obtain certification within 120 days if not currently certified.

 

Job Salary:

$14.00 – $16.00 Hourly

 

Hours: 

Part-time, Non-Exempt, Varying Schedules Available
