Aletheia House is looking for a receptionist-clerk for the Birmingham, AL area. The area serviced will be Jefferson County, AL.
Office Location: 201 Finley Avenue West, Birmingham, AL 35204
The receptionist-clerk is responsible for receiving callers, determining nature of business, and directing callers to appropriate destination.
-Operates and answers telephone calls in a professional, courteous manner.
-Directs calls to the appropriate destination and takes accurate and detailed messages as necessary.
-Answers inquiries regarding and pertaining to the agency.
-Take and deliver messages promptly and/or transfer calls or retrieved messages to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
-As often as needed, maintain and refill copier and fax machines with paper, assist users, send requested faxes, retrieve and distribute income faxes to appropriate staff, ensure that all agency blank forms are properly stocked and on a monthly basis obtain meter readings from all copiers in the building and submit to vendor for invoicing.
-Perform other clerical duties as needed; such as typing, filing, photocopying, scheduling, appointments, data entry, and assisting staff as necessary.
-Manage all databases and records.
-Input data as need and collect and submit client information to appropriate entities.
-Perform a variety of clerical duties to include keeping inventory, ordering and distributing office supplies.
-Verify shipping manifestation against orders placed. Collect and submit appropriate requisition and information to accounts payable for each order placed.
-Collect and distribute mail.
-Maintain effective record keeping database systems, to include maintenance requests for all Birmingham offices.
-To be the first point of contact for visitors to the office.
-To follow the guidelines of confidentiality and HIPPA regulations.
-High School Diploma or GED – required
-Ability to use a computer and understand database systems.
$14.00 – $17.00 Hourly
Hours: F/T Non-Exempt – Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Total 40 Hours
