Registered Nurse (MAS)–Montgomery, Alabama (#0380)

The Aletheia House is looking for a caring, energetic, qualified RN MAS Nurse to work in Montgomery, Alabama on a full-time basis.  Area serviced is Montgomery County.

Office Location:  Montgomery, AL

 

Position Summary:
The registered nurse provides nurse delegation services to adult men in a residential treatment center.  The registered nurse works closely with the Treatment Coordinator, Director of Behavioral Health, and Chief Operating Officer to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

-Provide monthly training for new residential support specialist staff one Saturday per month

-Provide relevant communication to the Treatment Coordinator and the Chief Operating Officer

-Oversee the LPN MAS Nurse

-Perform quarterly observations of all MAC workers

-On-call every three weeks

-Conduct comprehensive assessments on all new residents

-Attend staff meetings and trainings as required by the agency

-Perform other related activities as assigned by the Treatment Coordinator, Director of Behavioral Health, and Chief Operating Officer.

 

Qualifications:
-Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in Alabama with a current, valid and unrestricted RN license by the State of Alabama

-Associates in Nursing required at an RN level

-Successful completion of the Nurse Delegation Certification course offered by the Alabama Department of Mental Health.

-Must be able to obtain and maintain MAS certification for the Nurse Delegation Program

-Ability to be eligible to perform Medicaid approved activities and be certified as an RN
-Must work independently

-Strong verbal de-escalation skills and the ability to safely perform physical management techniques and crisis intervention

-Must be dependable, organized with efficient time management skills, and demonstrate good communication skills
-Must be reliable, following through on assignments
-Ability to provide services in a compassionate and ethical manner
-Ability to keep sensitive information obtained confidential

-Motor Vehicle Report required

-Active Driver’s License required

 

Travel:

-Travel occasionally to monthly or quarterly meetings

-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation

-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included

 

 

Job Salary:

$39,000.00 – $45,000.00 depending on license

 

Hours:

F/T, Exempt, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday

(May require evenings and weekends according to program needs)
