Residential Support Specialist, P/T, Finley (#0350)

Aletheia House has several openings in our residential facilities. We are looking for individuals that want to make a difference in the lives of individuals recovering from substance abuse.  Area/County Served:  Jefferson County.

Location of Position:  Finley Residential

Office Location of Position:  135 Finley Avenue West, Birmingham, AL  35204

Position Summary:
The residential support specialist provides overnight residential support, supervision, and medical assistance to clients in residential and supportive housing programs.  The residential support specialist works closely with the Treatment Coordinator, Program Manager, and Director of Behavioral Health to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Ensure safe and proper conduct in the residential program overnight

-Conduct regular security for compliance

-Conduct room inspections and bed checks

-Respond appropriately to emergency situations

-Properly document clients’ night activities in the log and complete necessary assigned documentation
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Treatment Coordinator, Program Manager, Director of Behavioral Health, Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and/or Executive Director



-High School Diploma or equivalent required.  If applying as a peer, at least two years in recovery
-Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred

-MAC certification eligibility required within 30 days of hire
-Valid Driver’s License required

-Motor Vehicle Report required


Job Salary: 

$12.00-$13.00 Hourly



Part-time, Non-Exempt

Friday:  9:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., Saturday-Sunday:  10:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

Total Hours –29 per week
