Our Bessemer Neighborhood Health Center provides medical care and counseling services, including care for individuals who need medication to treat their addiction to heroin or other opioids.
While the Center can provide services to anyone who needs care, the program staff makes a special effort to serve individuals experiencing homelessness. Most patients who are uninsured pay fees of $5.00 or less per visit, and those who are homeless receive free care and medications.
The Health Center accepts Medicaid, Medicare and private health insurance. All patients receive services without regard to their ability to pay.
