Aletheia House is looking for an individual to provide behavioral health services to adult men and women who have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder, including an opioid use disorder.  The area served is Colbert County.

Location of position:   Muscle Shoals, Alabama

Office Location:           528 Kelsey Avenue E, Muscle Shoals, AL  35661

Position Summary:
The therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive, evidenced-based services. The therapist works closely with the treatment coordinator to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:
-To provide individual, group and family counseling to adults who have a substance use disorder

-Conduct psycho-social assessments as needed; also conduct psycho-educational classes with clients and their families according to the approved curriculum

-Crisis and family intervention and involvement

-To seek and provide resources

-To serve as a liaison between the client and other service providers as needed
-Linkage and referral; document all services in a timely complete and clinically appropriate manner.
-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment coordinator, chief operating officer, or executive director

 

Qualifications:
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Behavioral Health, Counseling, or Social Work with a clinical practicum required
-At least two years experience providing substance abuse treatment and/or prevention services preferred

-Ability to be eligible to perform Medicaid approved activities and be certified at a QSAP I level
-Licensure and/certification as required by the Alabama Department of Mental Health (AADC/ADC, LPC, LICSW, LMFT, LMSW) preferred, or the ability to achieve licensure/certification within 30 months

 

Travel:

-Occasional travel required to attend quarterly meetings and trainings.

-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included.

-Driver’s License required

-Motor Vehicle Report required

 

Job Salary:

$43,000.00 – $53,750.00

Hours:

Full-Time, Exempt –Monday-Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and occasionally Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
