MAT Therapist -BHC P/T(#0404-A)

Aletheia House is looking for two individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of individuals recovering from substance abuse in the Jefferson County area. These positions are located at the Bessemer Neighborhood Health Center, Bessemer, Alabama.

Position Summary:

The therapist is responsible for providing substance abuse counseling to patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment at the Bessemer Neighborhood Health Center.  The therapist works closely with the treatment coordinator-central Alabama, director of behavioral health, and the physician to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Coordinate the behavioral health treatment for all patients engaged in Medication Assisted Treatment and assures that all Medication Assisted Treatment patients are actively engaged in counseling

-Provide individual and tele-counseling therapy to patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment at Bessemer Neighborhood Health Center

-Complete clinical documentation of all services provided in a timely and accurate manner

-Assure that all services are documented in the Health Center’s Electronic Health Record.

-Provide appropriate resolution for patient issues and concerns.

-Provide timely, complete and accurate documentation as required by DMH, Medicaid, Aletheia House and other funding sources and regulatory agencies

-Serve as a liaison between patients and other service providers as applicable

-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed

-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment coordinator-central Alabama, director of behavioral health, chief operating officer and/or executive director

 

Qualifications:

-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, psychology, social work, or behavioral health field with a clinical practicum required

-Licensure as a counselor, clinical social worker or certification is preferred

-At least two years experience providing substance abuse treatment and/or prevention services preferred

-Motor Vehicle Report required

 

Job Salary: 

$18.00 to $22.00 (Depending on experience and licensure)

 

Hours: 

P/T, Non-Exempt,

 

Position 0404-A:  Monday-Friday 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – 20 hours a week
