Aletheia House is looking for an individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of individuals recovering from substance abuse. Area served is Montgomery County.
Office Location of Position:
1153 Air Base Blvd. Montgomery, AL
Position Summary:
The therapist is responsible for providing individual and comprehensive counseling and education for adult patients with substance use disorders. The therapist works closely with the treatment manager to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide individual, group, and family counseling
-Conduct psycho-social assessments as needed
-Conduct psycho-educational classes with clients and their families according to the approved curriculum
-Document all services in a timely complete and clinically appropriate manner
-Serve as liaison between clients and other service providers, as applicable
-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment manager
Qualifications:
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health with a clinical practicum required
-Licensure and/certification as required by the Alabama Department of Mental Health, preferred
-Individuals who are not licensed and/or certified must obtain licensure or certification within 9 months of hire
-At least two years experience providing substance abuse treatment and/or prevention services, preferred
-Ability to be certified as a Medicaid provider at a QSAP 1 level
Job Salary:
$38,000.00 – $42,000.00
Hours:
F/T, Exempt, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – 40 hours a week
Travel:
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation. Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included. Minimal travel required for staffing, team meetings, agency training, and quarterly meetings
-Must have valid and current Driver’s License and provide a Motor Vehicle Report
