Aletheia House is looking for a Mother’s Hope therapist who wants to make a difference in the lives of individuals recovering from substance abuse in the Birmingham, AL area. The area served is Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

Position Summary:
The Mother’s Hope therapist will provide counseling for substance abuse disorders, psycho-social assessments and group/class services to adult women in residential treatment. The Mother’s Hope therapist works closely with the treatment coordinator to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.
Primary Responsibilities:
-To provide treatment for substance use disorders to adult women in residential treatment
-Conduct psycho-social assessments as needed; also conduct psycho-educational classes/groups with clients and their families according to the approved curriculum
-Document all services in a timely complete and clinically appropriate manner
-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed
-Perform other duties as assigned by the treatment coordinator, director of behavioral health, chief operating officer, and/or executive director
Qualifications:
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health with a clinical practicum required
-At least two years experience providing substance abuse treatment and/or prevention services preferred
-Ability to be eligible to perform Medicaid approved activities and be certified as a QSAP I
-Licensure and/certification as required by the Alabama Department of Mental Health (AADC/ADC, LPC, LICSW, LMFT, LMSW) preferred, or the ability to achieve licensure/certification after 30 months
-Must have valid and current Driver’s License
-Motor Vehicle Report required
Travel Requirements:
-Minimal travel required (trainings and meetings)
-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation
-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included
Job Salary:
$43,000.00 – $53,750.00
Hours:
F/T Exempt, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, 40 hours a week.
