Veterans Outreach Tracker–P/T Montgomery, AL (#0328)

Aletheia House is looking for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of individuals recovering from substance abuse.  The area serviced is Montgomery County.

Position Summary:

The veterans outreach tracker will secure new participants for the Jobs for Vets program as required by Department of Labor.  The veterans outreach tracker works closely with the Program Manager to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

-Recruit and engage homeless veterans to the Jobs for Vets program

-Conduct regular visits to soup kitchens, homeless shelters and assist with enrollment to Jobs for Vets program

-Recruit at least four to five homeless or at-risk veterans weekly to meet the outreach tracker goals

-Assist in the follow up and tracking of veterans for three quarters following employment

-Document all direct and indirect services in a timely and accurate manner

-Provide summaries and reports as required

-To document the delivery of services in a timely and professional manner in accordance with the policies of Aletheia House and the Department of Mental Health

-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed
-Perform other duties as assigned by the program manager, director of behavioral health, chief operating officer and/or executive director

 

Qualifications:

-High School diploma or equivalent required

-Prior military experience preferred

-Experience providing supportive services a plus

 

Travel Requirements:

-Daily travel is required

-Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation

-Must have a current Driver’s License and good driving record

-Motor Vehicle Report required

-Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included

 

Job Salary: 

$16.00 per Hour

 

Hours: P/T Exempt

Monday-Friday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.  Some evenings and weekends may be required to meet program needs.

Total Hours:  29 weekly
